So my school turned the math class into a VR escape room. We’re talking equations on the walls, puzzles that unlock the next level, and legit a dragon at the end (Mr. Tartaglione in a dragon avatar, which was both scary and hilarious). Thoughts?
mathmagician101
Did it actually help anyone get better at math tho? Or was it just for the lols?
brainwavebro
@mathmagician101 honestly, I’d say both. Like, my little bro is suddenly into solving for x cuz it reminds him of finding keys in the game. Weird flex, but it works.
edtech_trendsetter
This is peak innovation, y’all. Kids were begging to stay after school to keep playing/learning.
chaos_king
I’m all for dragons teaching math. Better than that one time they tried to make us learn with puppets.

Numbers time: 60% of students improved test scores in 2 months, and 90% actually enjoy math now. Imagine if they tried this with history!
sarcastic_sally
Can you imagine Cleopatra or Julius Caesar guiding us through VR history? ‘Hey, stab me in the back to unlock the next clue!’
future_teacher
For real, my practicum school is looking into this model now because they saw these results. Apparently, it’s not just about vibing but actual engagement.
meme_lord33
VR school sounds dope until you run into the one kid who’s AFK in the middle of solving a group puzzle.

math_in_my_veins
Gotta question tho: how accessible is this? Like, not every school has the budget for VR headsets.
equation_enthusiast
Good point @math_in_my_veins. Heard some schools got grants for it, but that’s not an option for everyone. Still, a legit concern.
tech_wizard
Maybe they could collab with local tech companies for sponsorships? Or do a community fundraiser. Gotta innovate the funding too!
pop_culture_fanatic
@tech_wizard imagine Apple sponsoring your math class. New levels of geek chic.
cryptic_critic
Hope they don’t turn English into a VR game tho. Don’t want to see Shakespeare as a Fortnite character.
real_nerd_alert
Actually, I’d be down for Shakespearean battle royale. To VR or not to VR, that is the question.
zoomers_unite
Honestly, if VR is the future, count me in. Anything beats textbooks from the '90s.

genz_guru
TL;DR: VR math class is a gamechanger, but needs more accessibility. Plus, dragons
> textbooks. What’s next?
